Sen. Marsha Blackburn has been a longtime supporter of various issues important to urology. While in the House, she was the original champion of the USPSTF Transparency and Accountability Act, and has championed medical liability reform via the Good Samaritan Health Professionals Act. She now serves on the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee.

Senator Mike Braun is the junior senator from Indiana, a private business owner, and formerly served in the Indiana House of Representatives and as a member of the Jasper County School Board. He's a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, which has jurisdiction on U.S. health policy, and the Senate Special Committee on Aging, which oversees the development of health policy for seniors and Medicare.

Rep. Michael Burgess, MD is the Ranking Member of the House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Health, which has jurisdiction on the USPSTF Transparency and Accountability Act. Dr. Burgess has served as a physician leader in Congress since 2003, championing numerous issues such as repealing the fatally flawed Sustainable Growth Rate formula and the Independent Payment Advisory Board.

Sen. Bill Cassidy, MD is a member of the Senate Finance and HELP Committees, both of which oversee health policy. Sen. Cassidy, a gastroenterologist before coming to Congress, has an extensive record of accomplishment in health care. He, along with other Senators, introduced the Stopping the Outrageous Practice (STOP) of Surprise Bills Act of 2019, aimed at addressing the issue of surprise medical billing. He also is interested in legislation to streamline the prior authorization process.

Rep. Neal Dunn, MD is one of two urologists currently serving in Congress. He serves on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, is the ranking member on the VA Health Subcommittee, is one of four lead cosponsors on the USPSTF Transparency and Accountability Act, and is the lead sponsor of H.R. 6092, the Veteran’s Prostate Cancer Treatment and Research Act.

Rep. John Joyce, MD is a physician freshman member of Congress. Prior to taking office in 2019, Dr. Joyce served as a dermatologist for over 25 years in rural Pennsylvania. He has supported numerous issues during his brief time in office, including cosponsoring H.R. 3107 – legislation to streamline prior authorization in the Medicare Advantage program.

He also is one of the leading cosponsors of the Improving Seniors' Timely Access to Care Act (H.R. 3107), a bill that would improve delivery of care by streamlining and standardizing prior authorization in Medicare Advantage, while also providing much needed oversight and transparency of health insurance for America's seniors.

Kelly is particularly focused on health care disparities in prostate cancer and other urologic conditions.
