Rep. Ami Bera, MD is a primary care physician and former Chief Medical Officer for Sacramento County. He is one of four physicians in the House Democratic Caucus. Rep. Bera is a proven champion for the physician community on Capitol Hill. He leads efforts to stop impending Medicare payment cuts that are finalized in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule and is focused on reforming the physician reimbursement system overall.

Rep. Neal Dunn, MD is one of two urologists currently serving in Congress. He serves on the House Energy & Commerce Committee, which has primary jurisdiction on many of our nation’s healthcare policies. He continues to champion urologic issues in Congress, including sponsorship of the PSA Screening for HIM Act (H.R. 1826).

Sen. Jacky Rosen is a champion for remedies to physician workforce shortage issues. Among other efforts, Sen. Rosen sponsored the Specialty Physicians Advancing Rural Care Act (S.705) and the Resident Education Deferred Interest Act (S.704). She also launched the Bipartisan Comprehensive Care Caucus that is dedicated to raising awareness and promoting the benefits of palliative care.

Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, MD is a former ophthalmologist who sits on the House Energy & Commerce Committee as well as the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee. She is also a member of the House GOP Doctors Caucus. She is one of the Republican co-leads of the Strengthening Medicare for Patients and Providers Act (H.R. 2474) that would implement a new Medicare physician payment update tied to the Medicare Economic Index.
